British Sugar- JUNE 2009

 

CC Software Ltd. have  secured an  order from British Sugar to supply LOAD2000 the telemetry system. The installation will be on their topsoil sales site at Wissington in Norfolk.

 

The installation will take place in July and hopefully they will be extending the system within  the Wissington site and eventually to other sugar processing plants around the country.

 

Instead of using radio modems we have had to implement MESH routers, (wireless networking in the 5Ghz range) and install a PC  in the cab of the front-end loader so that the driver can interrogate the corporate system that is located approx. 2 miles away at the sugar processing plant.

 

The driver will receive orders from the corporate systems, and  once completed will update the same corporate systems 2 miles away.

 

We are also looking at running surveillance cameras, (mounted on  solar and wind powered masts), and IP Telephony through the same MESH routers.
